Mrs. Nancy Best one of MP’s most important supporter and donor, long-standing true friend and now member of MP Board visited Pemba Island, Dar es Salaam and SDP of Uyui, Tabora region in Tanzania from May 26th - June 2nd and Dryland Integrated Development Project in Karamoja (DIDPK), May 3rd - June 8th, 2017 accompanied by MP CEO Dr. Amadou I. Niang.
The visit allowed Ms. Best to witness the success stories and huge progress made by the Millennium Villages Projects since 2006 and to discuss with the national, regional and local governments the efforts needed to include the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into district SDG-based local plans. This visit also allowed the identification of the gaps and challenges to realign the strategies before the relaunch of the projects in Tabora Region and Pemba Island of Zanzibar.
Mrs. Nancy Best was very satisfied and appreciative of the effort done by Millennium Promise in Tanzania and Uganda in strong collaboration with the respective district councils and national governments.
